The Journey of Nigra and Kahyln Wolf is a novel written to make connections that many families may be able to relate to. The white wolves symbolize the differentiation among populations and being different from everyone else. Nigra Wolf is the first character to have the spotlight, and in her first few days of life, she begins to notice everyone treating her differently. The only other being who understands being misunderstood is her look-alike brother Nikko Wolf. Having the name April Skye makes me stand out no matter where I am. Whenever someone would just say April, people always knew who I was. I got my name by being born on April 12, and Skye just fit with the way I would always look up at the clouds with my copper-hazel eyes.
